What's a Barcast?

During The Barcast, which happens every Friday or Saturday, at 4PM PST, we will interview a prominent guest in the MLP community. We will ask them questions that you want to ask, and you can post any questions you want us to ask within the forum post designated for that date! In general, no question is too weird, obscene, or funny for us to ask. We also have a drinking word every podcast, and you can drink along with us at home! It's not called a Barcast for nothing!

Are ANY questions allowed?
Well, technically yes, but we won't always ask them. If you post a lot of questions (like 10 or more) we may just skip you. If you ask completely out of the blue questions, such as "do you like this certain anime character from absurd show, and who do you ship them with" we'll probably ignore you. If you ask about ages, politics, or really intrusive questions, we may skip you as well. We also ask that our guests give their preferences, and if they're uncomfortable, we'll skip your question.

Is it only the Barcast that happens here?
Not quite. We'll also do drunken readings of REALLY bad stories, do "Karaoke night at the bar," where YOU pick what we sing, and will likely do other small side projects as well. Stick around, there's rarely a dull moment with us.

The Barcast: We all interview big names in the fandom and ask them your questions!
The Screaming Closet: Flutterpriest and Anonpencil (and guests) play horror games. Much screaming.
Shitfaced Shitfics: Anonpencil and guests do fully voiced readings of REALLY bad stories. Drinking and crying are generally par for the course.

Can I be on the podcast?
We're not looking for new hosts, but if you want to be a guest, please feel free to ask! If you've contributed to the fandom in some major, important way, we'll likely be happy to have you on. Just be ready for some weird questions.

    The Voice

    Priest is the one to usually ask the questions in our podcasts. He's best known as being one of the top 100 writers on FimFiction, being sweet and cuddly, and being one of the honestly most decent people on the podcast. He's a drummer and likes Princess Cadance, Fluttershy, as well as his OC Lyler, the mentally deficient horse who fucks cactuses. He's also a fan of Chik Tendies, scotch, pot roast, and metal music. On the Barcast, you're likely to hear him making squealing noises from his closet, apologizing, and trying to keep everyone vaguely on topic.

    The Quiet One

    You might not always hear Milk on the podcast, but be assured, he's there. Milk began the podcast, and has helped the Barcast grow into what it is today, out of almost nothing. He rarely writes, but he's capable of jotting down pure hilarity and is a constant reader of both good and terrible fanfiction. You should know, pretty much everything is his fetish. Everything, we're serious. At this point, everyone is pretty sure that he regrets ever starting this shit, but he loves us too much to tell us to fuck off. We're not complaining.

    The Suave One

    Flam is easily the most normal-seeming person on this podcast. He looks like he could have easily been a member of the Backstreet Boys, has a smooth, sultry voice, but if you make him laugh too hard he may actually become unable to breathe and die. He's been known for writing stories that contain haunting realism from WWI and WWII, and known for his OC Stella, who would kill all of us if she so chose. Prepare to hear his Palpatine voice regularly, as well as random phrases in German.

    The Loud One

    Prepare for abuse. Pretty much every sentence out of this mouth contains a swear word or two, and the verbal abuse she spews can be as soul-crushing as it is vulgar. Switching constantly between sweet and cuddly, to murderous and bitter, Pencil is the only girl on this podcast, and she certainly ain't no lady. Knowledgable on most sexual topics, and not afraid to speak about taboo subjects, pencil will be known to break out into songs, insult guests, and make Enigma feel like the lowest piece of shit that ever walked the earth.

    The Prankster

    Rav (Ravioli) is best known for doing some amazing art, writing some damn decent stories, and for his laughter at others' suffering on the podcast. Though not on every Barcast, Rav is happy to contribute tales of messing with others, and offer his giggles as our guests become more and more uncomfortable. As an avid gamer, he likes to pass the time by streaming his game sessions, and is down to post a weird meme any time the situation calls for it (which is always). He also has a vaguely punk style, all meant to cover the fact that he's a big silly softie.

  • Enigmatic Otaku

    The Punching Bag

    Poor Enigma just can't catch a break. If someone is saying "fuck you" on the podcast, they're probably going to be saying to him. He's brown, small, hairy, and would be lovable if he wasn't so shit. An avid lover of dragon tits, Enigma is best known for "that one Ember story," and can be seen shilling his work at every opportunity. In the end, Enigma is easily the cheeriest of the podcast, besides the constant abuse, and is probably the most likely to make sad sounds as we slowly destroy his self esteem, one insult at a time.
